A small piece of architecture solving a real day-to-day problem. A tourist destination with great potential. A project improving the life of a whole community.

Designing for a community means acknowledging a real need and producing a change with positive consequences on everybody’s lives. The location is the strategic hub of a network of hiking trails and outdoor routes. With this project, the environmentally aware local community aims at creating an educational culture of waste management in a mountain area.

Thus was born a new waste recycling point: a piece of light architecture made out of wood from the surrounding forests. An open and accessible area, featuring a traditional roofing in local stone. A contemporary structure at the service of the community, perfectly integrated into the alpine landscape.
